Service Overview:
The 8(a)/SDB Certification Application Preparation Service is designed for clients who want SBCA to prepare, assemble and complete their entire 8(a)/SDB application

• You will need to submit a Certification Assessment from our web page Certification Assessment
• We will conduct a telephone interview with the primary applicant to ensure that he/she is qualified to be certified 8(a) or SDB
• SBCA will identify all enclosures and data items that the applicant must provide for us to complete and package their 8(a)/SDB application
• SBCA will examine all enclosures and data received from the applicant to ensure that all required items have been provided and notify the applicant if important information is missing
• Contact the applicant via email and telephone to discuss and obtain the missing information and/or data needed by SBCA to prepare special SBA compliant elements of the package (e.g. By-laws, Taxes and other documents that may be required)
• We give you a template to follow for the economic narrative
• Our service includes editing of the primary applicant's economic narrative
• This is needed to prove economic disadvantage
• Complete the 8(a)/SDB application, ensuring that it is in compliance with SBA regulations.
• Assemble the package, including application, completed checklist, and  all required attachments
• Identify places where signatures are required in the entire 8(a)/SDB application
• Transmit the prepared package via 2nd day delivery service to the you with pre-addressed envelope for sending to SBA
• Within 14 days you will receive a letter from SBA identifying the additional information required
• FAX it to SBCA when you receive it and SBCA will act as a firewall between you and SBA in responding to the questions

Cost for our services

We do not charge a flat fee for this services because all companies are not structured the same. Some are much more difficult than others are and we do not feel that a one price fits all is the proper method of pricing.

Social Disadvantage Narrative

• If you are NOT a member of a SBA Designated Group, a Social Disadvantage narrative will need to be prepared by SBCA to prove that you have been Socially Disadvantaged.
• Added costs will be discussed during our review of your Certification Assessment

• Complete our 30 question work sheet and we will write your narrative for you
• Added costs will be discussed during our review of your Certification Assessment

• If there is more than one applicant applying for 8(a)/SDB certification, an additional Economic Disadvantage narrative will need to be prepared by SBCA to prove that he/she is Economically Disadvantaged.
• Added costs will be discussed during our review of your Certification Assessment

• If the company is run on a day by day bases by the husband and wife and the wife is listed as the owner special documentation is required to prove control of the company
